Caitlin Clark injury update

Clark was ruled out of Wednesday’s game with a back injury, according to the Indianapolis Star’s Chloe Peterson. Clark hadn’t been listed on any injury report beforehand.

According to Fieldhouse File’s Scott Agness, there is “no new injury or concern” regarding Clark’s health. Rather, her absence is “part of a strategic management play” for the Iowa alum, who played in just 13 games last season. Indiana is taking part in its fourth game in eight days. The Fever will return to the floor to face off against the Valkyries on Friday night.

Clark was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice. Indiana ruled her out on Wednesday, just 100 minutes before tip-off. She should be back in Fever colors before long, with that Golden State contest looking the likeliest option for her to return to action.
