After securing a breakthrough win in the opening Test, Bangladesh once again outplayed Pakistan across all departments in Sylhet. Bangladesh’s official X handle posted a video of the celebrations after the match perfectly captured the unity and emotion within the Bangladesh camp. Players gathered inside the dressing room singing “Amra Korbo Joy” , a song synonymous with hope, belief, and triumph.

Pakistan made an excellent start after choosing to bowl first, reducing Bangladesh to 116/6 before Litton Das rescued the innings with a magnificent counter-attacking century to guide the hosts to 278. Khurram Shahzad starred with four wickets.
In reply, Pakistan’s batting once again collapsed under pressure despite Babar Azam scoring a fighting 68. Bangladesh’s bowlers bundled the visitors out for just over 230 to secure a crucial 46-run first-innings lead.
Bangladesh then tightened their grip through a brilliant second innings led by veteran Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored a majestic 137, while Litton Das added another valuable 69. The hosts eventually set Pakistan a massive 437-run target on a difficult Day 5 pitch.
Pakistan showed resistance in the chase through captain Shan Masood, Babar Azam, and a superb 134-run partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha. Rizwan narrowly missed a century, falling for 94, while Salman scored 71.
However, Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam proved decisive, claiming 6/120 in the second innings and nine wickets in the match as Pakistan were bowled out for 358. Bangladesh sealed a famous 78-run win to complete a flawless series triumph.
