Florida basketball has learned which teams it will face in the upcoming Players Era tournament.
Florida will open against Notre Dame on Nov. 17 at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas. The Gators will then face either Rutgers or Houston, with the latter being a rematch of the 2024-25 national championship, on Nov. 18.
If Florida advances to the championship game on Nov. 19, UF could face either Kansas, UNLV, West Virginia or Auburn. Game times have yet to be announced.
The Players Era, a Las Vegas-based NIL event that pays millions to college basketball players, debuted with just eight teams and expanded to 18 teams this past season.
This year, the event expands to 24 teams and will be split into two bracket-play tournaments over two weeks in Vegas. Moving to a bracket-play format is a notable change from last year’s 18-team format, which gave each team two scheduled games and then determined each team’s third game based on record and scoring margin.
Florida’s 2026-27 schedule will also include a season-opener against Miami in Tampa as well as a matchup against Florida State.
