Who doesn’t love a board game? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander might not, thanks to a recent Dillon Brooks troll job. On Thursday evening, Underdog Sports recruited Brooks as a spokesperson for the company’s new board game, “Unethical Hoops.” The game is similar to Operation, a surgery game in which players need steady hands to pick up small objects from the board without hitting the edges.
The game features the two-time MVP’s likeness, along with different types of flopping that are prevalent in the NBA.
Here’s a look at a potential new addition to family game night, courtesy of the Suns player.

What is ‘Unethical Hoops’?
On Thursday evening, Brooks was featured on Underdog’s X (formerly Twitter) page promoting a board game named “Unethical Hoops.” The board game featured the likeness of Gilgeous-Alexander on both the box and the board itself.

According to the game’s website, “Shai has made hoops all about foul-baiting, and now you’re stuck guarding him in Underdog’s new board game. Don’t get baited. Steal the ball without getting whistled.”
The game appears to mimic Operation, a surgery-style game in which participants need a steady hand to grab small items from narrow openings. Players use pliers attached to the board by a wire; if the pliers touch the edge of a hole, a buzzer sounds and the turn passes to the next player.
Dillon Brooks’ basketball spin follows the same concept, except players must retrieve different basketballs. The board highlights various forms of flopping seen in the NBA, including “push-off,” “lean-in,” and “rip-through,” among others.

Fans who want a chance at landing this board game are required to make an account on Underdog.

Can you actually buy ‘Unethical Hoops’?
As of May 21, no one can buy Unethical Hoops. However, it is possible to win a copy of the board game.
Underdog is holding a giveaway of 100 copies of the board game on unethicalhoops.com (despite Brooks saying Unethical Sports on the video promotion). Those who wish to obtain a copy need to make an Underdog account, if they don’t have one already, and scan the QR code found on the page.
According to Underdog, only 100 copies will be made. The 100 winners will be announced on May 29.
Dillon Brooks-Shai Gilgeous-Alexander beef history
Despite the two Canadians being on relatively good terms in the long-run, they have had their share of differences on an NBA court.
In 2024, the two were battling for a jump ball before things got chippy. The two were knotted up, and no punches or shoves were present; Brooks and Gilgeous-Alexander laughed it off. When asked about the incident, the Thunder star kept it simple: “Jump-ball. Nothing else.”
Fast forward to 2026, and the two met in this year’s playoffs. During Game 2 specifically, there were instances where Brooks guarded Gilgeous-Alexander. Brooks, a known physical player in the NBA who isn’t afraid to get in players’ faces, was asked about what it was like guarding the back-to-back MVP. Brooks didn’t mince words; here’s what he said.
Dillon Brooks refers to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as “a little frail” while criticizing officials after Game 2:
“This is the playoffs, a man’s game. I used to watch this back when Michael Jordan was playing…when LeBron was younger, just physical basketball. I don’t get why all… pic.twitter.com/8D1Zt6DVdx

Once the Thunder were able to get past Brooks’ Suns in a four-game sweep, Gilgeous-Alexander posted a photo carousel on his Instagram page. One of those pictures featured the words “Cancun on” photoshopped on the back of Brooks’ jersey, where his name would be. To boot, Brooks is No. 3, reading “Cancun on 3.”
The OKC star also featured the word “villainous” in his caption, which is most likely a tie to Brooks’ nickname, the Villain. The Suns player picked up on this, commenting, “Sounds like a ghost writer – The Villain.”
