There were solid performances from all three Boone County schools on Thursday during the IHSAA Track and Field Sectionals.
Lebanon traveled to Fishers to compete in the sectional, and placed sixth with 45.25.
The highlight of the night came from hurdler Daniel Richards, who won the 300-meter hurdles race with a time of 38.16 seconds. Richards also advanced in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.63, which placed him second.
Cisco Luyindula is heading to the regional in two events.
He placed second in the 200-meter dash in a time of 21.95 seconds and placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 11.04 seconds, earning a callback to the regional.
Luyindula teamed with Niko Trepcos, Xavies Jackson and Tannon Monden to place fourth in 42.38 and earn a callback to state.
Monden is heading to the regional in the high jump as well after placing second in a height of 6-feet-4-inches.
Trepcos earned a callback in the pole vault after clearing 11-feet-6-inches to place sixth.
The regional is at Lafayette Jeff next Thursday.
Western Boone and Zionsville competed at the Plainfield Sectional.
Western Boone senior Jaden Latham is heading to the regional in two events. He placed third in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.87 and third in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 39.64 seconds.
Zionsville’s Joseph Jefferson won the sectional title in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.33. He is also heading to the regional in the 300-meter hurdles in a time for 39.09.
Riley Gilles made it four Boone County regional qualifiers in the 110-hurdles, placing fourth in a time of 15.37 and earning a callback.
The Zionsville 4×800 team of Jackson MeNeely, Collin Wood, Jack Albright and Elijah Weaver placed fourth in a time of 8:17.87.
The Zionsville 4×100 team of Alex Crosby, Zach Shuster, Micah Morris and Joshua Rondinelli placed fifth in a time of 44.08 and earned a callback to the regional.
Zionsville’s Isaac Lindsay and Andrew Schonlau earned callbacks in the 1,600 meter run in times of 4:35.87 and 4:36.56 respectively.
Sam Nefouse qualified for the regional in the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.50.
Nefouse, Jefferson, Wes Sim and Rondinelli qualified third in the 4×400 in a time of 3:29.39.
Patrick Dimmett got a callback in the 800 after placing fourth in a time of 1:58.87.
Crosby placed third in the long jump with a distance to 21-feet-8.25-inches to make the regional.
The Eagles are also sending David Fleming to the regional in the high jump after he cleared 6-feet-4-inches.
The regional is next Thursday at Plainfield.
