Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report recently identified Keionte Scott as one of the Day 3 draft picks most capable of making an immediate NFL impact in 2026.
Scott entered the draft with more attention than a typical fourth-round pick after a productive 2025 season at Miami that included 64 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and two interceptions returned for touchdowns. Some evaluators reportedly viewed him as a potential Day 2 prospect before the draft process played out.
The fit in Tampa Bay appears to be part of the reasoning behind the projection. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com previously described Scott as a physical, aggressive defender capable of contributing near the line of scrimmage while also bringing value as a blitzer and run defender from the secondary.
The Buccaneers also enter the season with competition still developing throughout parts of the secondary. Zyon McCollum and Benjamin Morrison are expected to handle outside duties, while Jacob Parrish remains in the mix inside.
That creates a realistic opportunity for Scott to compete for snaps quickly if his physical play style translates early during training camp and OTAs.
