2026 Jaguars schedule: Early preview of Week 1 game v. Browns

Now that we know the Jacksonville Jaguars’ full 2026 NFL schedule, let’s take an early look ahead at each opponent.

This season, the Jaguars open up the season at home against the Cleveland Browns, and overall, face a difficult stretch of games to begin the year.

This season will mark the 21st matchup all-time between the Jaguars and Browns. Jacksonville currently leads the series with a 12-8 record.

The last meeting between these two was in Sept. of the 2024 season. The Browns won that game 18-13. The Jaguars’ last win over Cleveland came in 2017.

Offseason moves by the Browns

Additions: OT Spencer Fano, WR KC Concepcion, WR Denzel Boston, G Zion Johnson, C Elgton Jenkins, RT Tytus Howard, LB Quincy Williams, S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren

Departures: TE David Njoku, OL Joel Bitonio, OT Jack Conklin, OL Wyatt Teller, LB Devin Bush, RB Jerome Ford.

In addition to the roster turnover that took place, the Browns also hired Todd Monken as the team’s new head coach.

Stats to know

The Browns’ offense ranked 31st in points per game last season, while the defense ranked 13th. Led by Myles Garrett, the Browns had one of the most disruptive pass rush units in football.

Players to know

WR Jerry Jeudy was targeted 105 times last season. He totaled 602 yards with two touchdowns.

TE Harold Fannin was another heavily targeted pass catcher, with 103 on the season. Fannin hauled in 731 receiving yards with six touchdowns.

RB Quinshon Judkins rushed for 827 yards and seven touchdowns.

DE Myles Garrett continues to be a highly, highly disruptive pass rush presence.

LB Carson Schwesinger: The rookie totaled 144 tackles and logged two interceptions.

CB Tyson Campbell: The former Jaguar allowed a completion rate of 52% in coverage, coming away with an interception and six pass breakups.
