The Cleveland Cavaliers fell behind 3-0 in their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Knicks on Saturday. But at the very least, Travis Kelce helped bring some energy to Rocket Arena for Game 3.

With the Chiefs tight end sitting courtside with his fiancee, Taylor Swift, all eyes were on the celebrity couple just as much as the action on the court. 

And in true Kelce fashion, when he had his opportunity to chug a beer in front of his hometown Cleveland fans, he took advantage. 

Here’s a look at how Swift reacted to Kelce chugging a beer during a break in the Cavaliers-Knicks action in Game 3 on Saturday night.

Taylor Swift reacts to Travis Kelce beer chug

The home crowd at Rocket Arena needed a boost after three quarters of Knicks vs. Cavaliers on Saturday. New York, which has been on a tear through the playoffs recently, was on its way to claiming a 3-0 series lead, holding a 91-82 advantage heading into the final quarter.

As the Jumbotron cut to Swift and Kelce courtside, playing some of Swift’s music, Kelce stood up to get the crowd pumped up with a beer in hand.

Fans cheered as Kelce chugged his beer in a backwards Cavaliers hat, which he then took off to wave at the crowd. In the background, Swift initially pretended to be embarrassed by her fiancé’s actions, but smiled and then proceeded to applaud him.

Why were Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Knicks-Cavs?

Kelce is a well-known Cleveland sports fan — the Chiefs tight end was born in Westlake, Ohio and attended Cleveland Heights High School, previously opening up about his fandom for the Cavaliers and Guardians.

While Swift may have more ties to the Knicks than the Cavaliers, the couple was certainly rooting for the home team in Game 3.

Travis Kelce past beer chugs

It has become almost customary for the Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, to enjoy a beer in front of a crowd when given the opportunity to do so.

In 2024, when he received his diploma from the University of Cincinnati, Travis Kelce chugged a beer.

And of course, with the Chiefs doing a ton of winning in Kelce’s career, he’s had other chances to celebrate with a drink.

In 2023, he chugged a beer off the Lombardi Trophy, then spiked it.
