Kiké Hernandez Returns to Dodgers’ Lineup After Lengthy IL Stint

The Los Angeles Dodgers put Kiké Hernandez in their starting lineup following his return from the injured list on Monday.

Kiké Hernandez has missed all of the 2026 season so far after undergoing surgery on his elbow, and will make his season debut against the Colorado Rockies Monday. The Dodgers are coming off of a series win against the Milwaukee Brewers, who they failed to beat even once in the regular season last year.

LA comfortably won the last two games of the series following a loss in the first game of the set Friday, and will look to carry some momentum back to LA for Monday’s game.

Emmet Sheehan will take the mound for the series opener, and will look to improve on his last start against the San Diego Padres. He allowed four runs in as many innings last time out, causing his season ERA to grow to 4.93.

The right-hander has shown plenty of promise with some strong outings this season, and will hope to have better results this time out.

Center fielder Andy Pages will bat cleanup for the Dodgers, and right fielder Kyle Tucker will bat fifth, followed by left fielder Teoscar Hernandez and catcher Will Smith. Second baseman Hyeseong Kim will bat eighth, and Kiké Hernandez will round out the lineup and play third.
