Connecticut comes off a 77-59 road loss on Friday night to the Seattle Storm, in which it shot just 37.1% and scored only 38 points in the final three quarters. Diamond Miller led the Sun with 13 points while Aaliyah Edwards, playing in place of injured Brittany Griner (sprained right rib), finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Charlisse Leger-Walker dished out five assists but had just five points on 2-of-9 shooting.

The Valkyries also come off a road defeat, falling to the Indiana Fever 90-82 on Friday night. Golden State led by seven at the half before the Fever asserted themselves after intermission, leading by 10 with less than three minutes left. The Valkyries got to within four before Indiana sealed the game at the foul line. Reserves Tiffany Hayes and Kaitlyn Chen led the offense for Golden State with 19 and 18 points, respectively, while Veronica Burton went for 17. 

Burton averages 15.0 points and 6.4 assists for the Valkyries, with Gabby Williams getting 13.2 points per game and Kaila Charles snaring 6.6 rebounds a night. Griner, a game-time decision on Monday night, put up an average of 15.0 points before missing the last four games, while Aneesah Morrow gets 11.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
