Michael Bisping expected Alex Pereira to look a lot more comfortable while sparring Tallison Teixeira.
Ahead of his interim heavyweight title fight against Ciryl Gane (13-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in the co-main event of UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14, Pereira (13-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) sparred rising heavyweight Teixeira.
“He is going to put on 30 pounds, something like that,” Bisping said of Pereira on his YouTube channel. “So that means he’s going to be slower. It means he’s going to be fighting bigger guys, and it means he’s probably going to be fighting people that can punch harder. What do you do to prepare for such a thing? You spar other heavyweights, and lately some footage has come out. I’ve got to say, it looks a little concerning for Alex Pereira.”
