The Chiefs endured a languid 2025 season, limping to a 6-11 record amid a tempest of injuries and inconsistent performances. They also faced some turmoil off-the-field — stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were the subjects of break-ins during the season.
Seven months on, things are looking a little brighter for the Kansas City pairing. Not only did the Chiefs add some firepower during the NFL Draft. But it seems the identity of whose who allegedly attempted to heist Mahomes and Kelce’s houses are close to being revealed.
Here’s the latest development in the case revolving around Mahomes and Kelce’s break-ins.

Burglars tied to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce break-ins arrested
TMZ reported that two alleged culprits connected to the the Mahomes, Kelce, Joe Burrow and Luka Doncic heists were arrested in Argentina after reportedly breaking into the house of former World No. 3 tennis player Juan Martin del Potro.
The arrest reportedly led authorities to capture another member of the operation. It’s unclear whether the alleged burglars will be tried in Argentina or extradited to the United States. TMZ reported that they currently reside in Chile, waiting to hear a decision on the site of their impending trial.
Mahomes’ home was broken into near midnight on Oct. 6, while Kelce’s home was hit shortly after in the early hours of Oct. 7. In Feb., TMZ released a report on the burglaries, detailing that seven Chilean nationals had been charged with conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property.
The alleged thefts were accused of taking more than $2 million in valuables from high-profile athletes homes, including Mahomes, Kelce and Burrow. TMZ reported that the criminal complaint stated that the robbers often broke into athletes’ houses while they were playing in their games between Oct.-Dec. 2024.

Where does Patrick Mahomes live?
Mahomes lives in Belton, a sleepy suburb located to the south of Kansas City in Missouri. He purchased land to construct a house on top of in 2020. In 2023, the mansion he and his family had been plotting on was completed. Based on aerial views, Mahomes’ boasts a pool, private pond and 50-yard football field.
Where does Travis Kelce live?
Kelce is believed to own two homes — one in the Briarcliff West neighborhood of Kanas City and another in Leawood, Kan.
Kelce purchased his Leawood mansion for $6 million in 2023. The residence sits south and west of Kansas City but it actually located closer to Arrowhead Stadium than Belton.
