Nebraska football hosting four-star running back in June

Nebraska football is going to get a visit from 2028 four-star running back Noel Washington. This was reported by Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese on Tuesday afternoon.

Washington is the 20th overall running back in the 2028 class, and the 20th overall player in his class from the state of California, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He has offers from UCLA, California, Arizona, and Kansas.

The Huskers will be his first official visit, as he will go to Lincoln on June 8. He is being recruited to the program by running backs coach E. J. Barthel.

Washington recorded 132 carries for 782 yards and 11 touchdowns according to statistics from Maxpreps.com. He measures in at 6 feet tall and 185 pounds.

The Huskers currently have zero commitments in the 2028 class. They are putting the finishing touches on a talented 2027 class. It will be interesting to see how they attack 2028.

Barthel and the program have historically gone after one running back per recruiting class. The fact that Washington is taking a multiple-day visit is certainly encouraging, and it will be interesting to see how this recruitment plays out.
