The NBA offseason hasn’t even officially started yet, but trade rumors are already swirling around the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

There have been conflicting reports in recent days and weeks, but some believe the Celtics could be looking to move Jaylen Brown this summer. Meanwhile, Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to be available on the trade market, which would likely pique Boston’s interest.

While it’s unclear whether the Celtics would actually give up the assets to acquire Antetokounmpo, including potentially Brown, CLNS reporter Noa Dalzell believes Boston’s interest is legitimate.

“If I had to pick is Giannis going to be a Celtic or not next year, I would pick not, but I don’t think it would be a shocking move…I think there’s real interest,” Dalzell said on Wednesday’s episode of “The Garden Report.”

That seems like a realistic assessment. An Antetokounmpo trade to Boston probably won’t happen, but it could. At the very least, the Celtics will probably consider it, even if they don’t end up pulling the trigger.

Time will tell what Antetokounmpo’s trade market looks like and which other teams pursue him, but it won’t be surprising if Boston’s in the mix.
