Washington football offers high-ceiling four-star 2028 Texas EDGE

There’s no such thing as too much talent along the defensive line in the Big Ten.

With that in mind, Washington Huskies inside linebackers coach Brian Odom took a trip to Manvel High School in Texas, where he extended an offer to four-star edge rusher Brayson Robinson. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound pass rusher is ranked as the nation’s No. 243 overall prospect and No. 24 player at his position by the 247Sports Composite, and has found himself quickly rising up recruiting boards for programs all over the country.

Robinson holds 28 offers from all over the country, with Auburn, California, Miami, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, USC, Wisconsin, and several more in pursuit of his services, as 16 of those scholarships were extended in May alone.

After a very productive junior season, in which he recorded 67 tackles, 18 for loss, with 7.5 sacks, 3 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery, it doesn’t take long to see why schools from all across the country have lined up in an attempt to add him to their front line.

Lining up as both a standup outside linebacker and with his hand in the dirt, Robinson displays impressive explosiveness out of his stance, routinely bypassing opposing offensive tackles before they can get a hand on him. Robinson also converts that speed into power very well, walking back his blocker before using a variety of moves to shed them and utilize his good closing speed to get after quarterbacks and ball carriers.

With his size and frame, he’s destined for a role on the edge at the college level, something the Huskies are searching for desperately for in the 2027 and 2028 classes. Three-star 2027 commit Matamatagi Uiagalelei is expected to start his career at outside linebacker, but with his size and frame, he should be expected to move to the interior as he matures.
