Kentucky’s matchup with Indiana has been moved up on the calendar

The Kentucky Wildcats recently renewed their rivalry with the Indiana Hoosiers. From 1969 to 2011, the two teams met on a yearly basis, and it was one of the nation’s best matchups. After the 2011 season, however, a disagreement on where future games would be played ended the yearly game, and a great rivalry died.

Last season, the first of four agreed upon matchups took place, with Kentucky winning 72-60. They lead the all-time series 32-25, and will try to extend that lead with this year’s game, which has now had a schedule change.

Originally, they teams were set to play on Dec. 27, but on Wednesday, it was announced that the new date would be Nov. 20. That’s a Friday, but a time hasn’t been set yet. The game will still be played at Lucas Oil Stadium as well. Next year is moves back to Rupp Arena.

It will be a highly anticipated matchup for fans of both teams. Though the rivalry hasn’t been played as much in recent years, it’s still a game that gets fans of both teams fired up. There’s still plenty of dislike between the two schools and their fans. Last year’s affair was an entertaining matchup, and this year’s game should be no different.
