People on the Isle of Man have been urged to be aware of daytime road closures as the final qualifying sessions for the 2026 TT races take place.

The mountain section of the 37.7-mile (60km) course closed at 08:45 BST, with the lower section closed at 10:00.

Under the current schedule, roads are set to reopen no later than 17:20 following two qualifying sessions for solo machines.

A contingency closure between 18:00 and 21:30 is also available to the clerk of the course should there be any disruption to the sessions.

Friday’s schedule

10:30 Superbike & Superstock classes

12:15 Supersport & Sportbike classes

14:00 Superbike & Superstock classes

15:15 Supersport & Sportbike classes

Qualifying for the 2026 TT has faced disruption due to several red flag incidents, including a crash which left eight spectators injured.

That incident, during the opening untimed practice session, led to the first timed laps of the event being pushed back by a day to Tuesday evening.

Friday’s schedule no longer features a sidecar session after a crash on Wednesday led to the class being suspended from the remainder of the event on safety grounds.

The first race of the 2026 programme is due to take place on Saturday, with the event set to culminate with the senior race on Saturday, 6 June.
