Florida football had seven Gators selected in the 2026 NFL Draft with a player taken in each round — a first in program history. The program could once again be well represented next spring as the roster is littered with high-level prospects who can elevate their stock this season.
If the Gators’ roster performs to expectations under new head coach Jon Sumrall, Florida could produce anywhere from six to nine selections in 2027. Sports Illustrated identified running back Jadan Baugh, wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. and linebacker Myles Graham as Florida’s top professional prospects entering next season.
But the potential doesn’t end there for the Orange and Blue. Also generating draft buzz on way-too-early boards is Knijeah Harris, who started all 12 games for the team last season at left guard. His 74.2 PFF blocking grade was a big reason he played 672 snaps; he was a key cog in Florida’s rushing attack that produced its first 1,000 rusher in over a decade.
LC McCray is also a prospect to watch. A former five-star recruit, the 6-foot-6-inch, 268-pound McCray has all the intangibles and measurable attributes that NFL scouts covet. After playing all 13 games in 2024, his 2025 campaign was cut short due to a foot injury that required surgery, but he is back healthy and seeking a starting role in 2026.
A name that carries considerable optimism around Gainesville is Cormani McClain. The redshirt junior out of Lakeland, Florida, previously played at Colorado before transferring in 2024. He saw action in just three games that season, but in 2025 played 10 games with six starts at the cornerback position at Florida. McClain earned a PFF grade of 84.9 against Miami, highlighting his upside.
Other Gators in contention include Karman Jones, Bryce Thornton and Dijon Johnson.
