The NFL sits just over 24 hours away from the critical June 1 deadline. Several players who are not officially on the trade block could become much easier to move once the date arrives. The NFL’s June 1 designation allows teams to spread dead-cap charges over two years following a trade or release, creating additional financial flexibility.
All eyes will be on Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. He remains one of the biggest names who could be moved shortly after June 1. Reports suggest the New England Patriots are currently the most likely suitor, but trade markets can change quickly.

Beyond Brown, several notable players could become realistic trade candidates once teams gain additional cap flexibility. Here are a few potential trades to watch after the June 1 deadline passes:
Josh Sweat
Proposed Suitors: Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars
Kamara’s market remains difficult to gauge. However, he does not appear to be a central part of the New Orleans Saints’ long-term offensive plans. A post-June 1 trade would reduce a massive $31 million dead-cap and acceleration hit to roughly $7 million while creating additional savings in 2026.
The Jacksonville Jaguars could benefit from adding a proven veteran running back to complement 2026 acquisition Chris Rodriguez Jr. Kamara’s versatility as both a runner and receiver would make him a strong fit in Jacksonville’s offense.

The Tennessee Titans have continued building around quarterback Cam Ward. Pairing Kamara with Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears would give Tennessee one of the league’s deepest backfields. Head coach Brian Daboll could also maximize Kamara’s versatility as a dynamic offensive weapon.
Anthony Richardson
Proposed Suitor: Washington Commanders
There remains a strong possibility that Aiyuk is ultimately released. However, the San Francisco 49ers appear willing to wait and see if a team offers even a conditional late-round draft pick before making that decision.

Aiyuk has reportedly expressed interest in reuniting with Jayden Daniels. With post-June 1 cap flexibility available, perhaps both sides could find common ground on a trade package.
Wild Card: James Conner to the Green Bay Packers
Conner suddenly finds himself in a crowded Arizona backfield. The Cardinals added talent at the position through both the draft and free agency, potentially making Conner expendable at some point this season. Following Josh Jacobs’ recent arrest, the Packers may need a contingency plan. While the legal process remains ongoing, Green Bay could benefit from adding experienced depth behind Jacobs regardless of the outcome. Could Conner emerge as the dark-horse trade candidate to watch after June 1?
