Nick Emmanwori gloats over basketball prediction coming true

A few weeks ago, Seattle Seahawks defensive back Nick Emmanwori took to social media to compare himself to San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembenyama of the NBA. Wembenyama is a physical specimen. Emmanwori believes he’s the NFL version.

Wembenyama and the Spurs had been entangled in a legendary playoff series with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder. The winner of Western Conference would advance to meet the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals. The series went to Game 7, where Wembenyama and the Spurs upset two-time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder 111-103.

On May 20th, precisely 10 days before Game 7 after the Thunder tied the series at one apiece, Emmanwori revisited social media and predicted the Spurs would win the series in seven games. Emmanwori’s prediction came true nearly two weeks later. He just went back to social media to gloat!

Emmanwori has made a fast impression at OTAs. He’s even been working on his versatility with outside linebackers coach Chris Partridge. Emmanwori had a massive rookie season for the Seahawks that helped the organization win Super Bowl 60.

Emmanwori’s NBA predictions and comparisons routinely come true. Both the Spurs and Knicks will hope he predicts an NBA Championship for their fanbase.
