A.J. Brown has a new NFL home as of Monday, as the Philadelphia Eagles traded the star wide receiver to the New England Patriots.
After the deal was completed, Brown headed online and posted a number of images of him wearing a Patriots uniform as a kid with the song “Coming Home” by Diddy. There was only one problem with the images: they were AI-generated.
NFL World Calls Out A.J. Brown’s AI Photos After Patriots Trade
While it’s true that Brown grew up a Patriots fan, the NFL world quickly clowned him for using AI photos. Eagles writer Anthony DiBona was one of the first people to call him out.
DiBona posted on X, “Nike started making NFL jerseys in 2012… Either A.J. Brown looked surprisingly small at 15-years old or this picture is edited.”
“Zoom in… AJ deada** just posted AI Patriots jerseys just to pander,” one influencer wrote on X. “I’m actually laughing so hard these aren’t even real pictures”
Social media personality Tom Stakes, who posts Eagles content on TikTok and YouTube, didn’t hold back after seeing Brown’s images.

“Look at the jersey lol,” Stakes posted on X. “When did any brand make a jersey that looked like that? Fraudin for the Gram is crazy work.”
Another user pointed out that Brown’s post was flagged by Instagram as “created by AI.”
One user pointed out that Brown may have been trying to protect his endorsement deal with Nike.
“I’m an Eagles fan but guessing he’s a Nike athlete,” he posted. “Prolly was a Reebok logo on there pretty common sense.”
Brown now joins the Patriots, where he’ll become the No. 1 target for MVP runner-up Drake Maye. The Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl last year and now have a revamped passing attack around their star quarterback.
As for the Eagles, they traded away an uber-talented player who sometimes rocked the boat and didn’t always see eye to eye with head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts.
