If there was any question of just how excited Myles Garrett is to be a member of the Los Angeles Rams, he answered that on Tuesday during his first day with the team. He flew across the country, met his new coaches and other staffers, and did a full press conference. And yet, after all that, he still wanted to hit the gym.
Peter Schrager shared a tidbit from Garrett’s wild first day with the Rams, revealing that he asked a Rams official after his introductory presser if he could go into the gym and do a full workout.
Garrett’s request was politely denied, as he was told to come back on Wednesday, to which he agreed.
Fun nugget on Myles Garrett’s first day in LA–
After the flight, after the press conference, after meeting everyone–it was time to wrap up a wild day.

Everyone laughed.He wasn’t kidding.
They told him to come in tomorrow.
He nodded. And that was that.
After the wildest 24 hours of his career, a cross country flight, a media blitz, and meeting an entire new organization… he wanted to do squats.

Garrett had been absent from Browns OTAs this spring, remaining away from the team and doing his own workouts instead of the voluntary ones with the team. But now that he’s in Los Angeles, he seems intent on joining his new team for OTAs right away.
He couldn’t wait to hit the gym and get started.
