Morning, all!
Jordan Montgomery is expected to throw live batting practice this afternoon after being shut down for two weeks after his last batting practice session.
Corey Seager and Wyatt Langford both played in a game for Frisco last night as their return to the big league club draws nigh.
Both Langford and Seager got hits in their rehab appearances.
Langford’s return is likely to force the Rangers to make a decision on whether Evan Carter or Alejandro Osuna get the majority of the playing time in center field.
While Skip Schumaker isn’t calling Jacob Latz the team’s closer, he’s definitely getting a lot of high leverage opportunities.
The Rangers notched their fifth straight win last night and are now one game under .500.
Jalen Beeks came on in relief of Nathan Eovaldi in the seventh and somehow got out of a hairy situation, and then Joc Pederson came through with a game winning RBI single in the ninth.
