The Mount Rushmore of wrestling is an age-old debate that fans will have many different opinions on.
Depending on your age, the year you started watching wrestling and more, there are countless superstar names to pick from.
There are some obvious answers that appear on many lists, of course, including the likes of The Rock and Stone Cold Steven Austin.
But Gary Vaynerchuk has decided to leave both of the WWE icons off his list.
Gary Vaynerchuk picks The Undertaker over The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin
The Rock and Stone Cold were the two biggest stars during the Attitude Era, a period many will argue was the last golden age of wrestling.
However, when speaking on the Chris Van Vliet podcast this week, Vaynerchuk snubbed them both.
As expected, Hulk Hogan was selected, while Gary also picked Ric Flair and Andre the Giant.
But when realising that he should choose at least one name from the Attitude Era, he overlooked Austin, Dwayne Johnson, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart to instead opt for The Undertaker.
He said: “I think the Mount Rushmore of wrestling is Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and I got to give one to the Attitude Era. I will go with, believe it or not, I’m gonna go with The Undertaker, actually.
“I know Rock and Austin and Bret Hart and Michaels, but I think those, I think, I don’t think people understand Andre the Giant carried wrestling through the 70s.”
Undertaker may not be everyone’s favourite wrestler of all time, but a case could perhaps be made that he is one of the most underrated performers in the history of WWE.
Very few people were able to remain at the top of the card for as long as he did, while still somehow staying relevant and entertaining.
It is easy to forget that Rock and Austin’s runs at the summit in the late 90s/early 2000s only really lasted for four to five years, while Undertaker was a major draw in the 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and even for a brief time in the 2020s.
