Kaitlyn Terry is a junior pitcher/utility player for the Texas Tech Red Raiders softball team, who has been instrumental in the team’s run to the Women’s College World Series finals.
She has often rotated with NiJaree Canady in the circle for Texas Tech, providing a very formidable 1-2 punch for the Red Raiders that helped the team battle back from the loser’s bracket to make the Women’s College World Series finals.
Where did Kaitlyn Terry play before Texas Tech?
Terry transferred to Texas Tech after two seasons at UCLA. She went 21-3 with the Bruins in 2004, with a 2.38 ERA in 182 innings pitched. In 2025, she pitched 148 1/3 innings, going 20-5.
Before college, Terry was a standout at Greenway High in Phoenix, where she was a two-time Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year. She went 62-9, with a 0.53 ERA in 511 1/3 innings pitched in her high school career, pitching 26 no-hitters and six perfect games, while also hitting .626 with 152 hits, 53 home runs, 40 doubles, 15 triples and 166 RBIs.
She led Greenway to a state runner-up finish in 2023.
