TCU football is gaining steam on the recruiting trail. On Wednesday, the Horned Frogs received a commitment from Houston Stratford three-star 2027 offensive lineman Ty Greene. The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder from Houston chose TCU over Baylor, Duke, Houston, Kansas State and more. Greene becomes the fifth 2027 recruit for the Horned Frogs, who added three-star offensive lineman Alexander “Big Country” Herrera over the weekend. Greene visited Fort Worth on May 29 before revealing his commitment to the Horned Frogs on Wednesday.
A two-way prospect and a defensive playmaker at Houston Stratford, Greene finished with 34 tackles, 5 TFLs and one sack during his junior season in 2025. He totaled 13 tackles, 1.5 TFLs and 0.5. sacks as a sophomore in 2024. With Greene’s commitment, TCU improves to the No. 66 ranked recruiting class in the country with several visits and prospects still to come. Greene has an 82-inch wingspan 11-inch hands and 33-inch arms. He holds 15 offers.
