Cannarella is at last being promoted to Double-A Pensacola after a huge start in High-A. The former Clemson star had been slashing .394/.439/.577 through 19 games, which is a loud, obvious statement that he deserved the promotion.
For Clemson fans, this should not be a shock by any means. Cannarella was one of the most decorated players to come through the program in recent years, finishing his three-year Clemson career as a .360 hitter with 54 doubles, eight triples, 23 home runs, 159 RBIs, 192 runs, and 30 stolen bases. He was a two-time All-American, a three-time All-ACC selection, and one of the best defensive outfielders Clemson has had.
