Trophy presented in final home match
What a start! Our U16 girls’ team has won the title in the inaugural season of the newly created Girls Elite League – and in impressive fashion.
Previously, our girls had only competed against boys’ teams in the SFV U14 Sparkassenliga. With the Girls Elite League, this season saw the first national competition for girls’ teams of the same age could compete against each other across Austria. Our girls used this premiere to make history.
With 20 matches and only one loss – our U16 girls’ record speaks for itself. They didn’t just secure the title in the final stretch, but clinched it early and convincingly. On the league’s final day in Traiskirchen, the moment finally arrived as the trophy was presented in a formal ceremony.
Winning the championship title in the inaugural season of the newly founded U16 Girls Elite League is something very special for us. The girls worked incredibly hard throughout the entire season and constantly improved, which is our top priority.
Winning the title also shows that we’ve made good progress.
