Christian Anderson’s decision to stay in the 2026 NBA Draft was an easy one as the Texas Tech basketball star has received an invite to be in the green room for the festivities when things kick off on Tuesday from Brooklyn.
Anderson’s two years in Lubbock were full of highlights, from helping the Red Raiders get to the Elite Eight as a freshman to becoming an All-American and one of the best shooters in the country.

CBS Sports: 15th overall, Chicago Bulls
Matt Norlander of CBS Sports has Anderson going 15th overall to the Chicago Bulls (in a pick from the Portland Trail Blazers). “The statistical profile is too strong and Anderson’s shooting ceiling is too good for him to stick around past the mid-teens,” Norlander wrote.
ESPN: 16th overall, Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies are likely to be in the market for a new point guard with Ja Morant’s future in question and ESPN’s Jeremy Woo has Memphis going with Anderson to be an option as the Morant replacement.
SB Nation: 21st overall, Detroit Pistons
Ricky O’Donnell of SB Nation has Anderson heading to Detroit to play with Cade Cunningham with the Pistons taking the Texas Tech product 21st overall via the Minnesota Timberwolves.
