Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi, whose case was remanded for trial on rape charges on June 19, on Friday lodged an appeal with France’s Court of Cassation, France’s top court for civil and criminal matters. The Versailles Court of Appeals upheld the decision to refer the Moroccan and PSG defender to a criminal court on charges of raping a woman in 2023.
