Norway have progressed beyond the group stage in all bar one of their four World Cup appearances with the Manchester City striker already their leading scorer in it.

Haaland could potentially meet his match in this encounter with Yan Diomande looking to emulate one of his Bundesliga predecessors and earn a big move.

Diomande has been a player in demand this summer with Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain involved in a transfer tug-of-war that the latter now looks set to win.

The RB Leipzig forward recorded a first World Cup assist during the win over Curacao while his long-term future continues to play out away from North America.

However Norway are more than a one-man team with captain Martin Odegaard leading the charge from midfield following Arsenal‘s Premier League title success.
