Currently, Scott is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal with reports claiming he has even gone as far as to reject Bournemouth’s offer, and Manchester United are pushing ahead with their attempts to sign him, according to The Sun.
Whether or not he leaves this summer remains to be seen, but with two years left on his current contract, it may be better for the Cherries to cash in on their asset now, rather than let him leave for cheaper, or possibly even as a free transfer, later down the line.
The Red Devils are still searching for a marquee midfield signing, after Elliot Anderson opted to join rivals Man City and Mateus Fernandes chose to sign for Spurs.
They have seemingly already tied up a deal for Atalanta’s Brazil international, although complications around his medical seem to be delaying that signing, accord to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
