Tottenham Hotspur are open to offers for England World Cup star Djed Spence, talkSPORT understands.
Spurs are planning to trim their squad to help fund Roberto De Zerbi’s summer rebuild.
Despite having three years left on his current deal, Spence will be allowed to leave during the current window.
It comes less than a year after he penned a new contract extension last August.
Meanwhile, the full-back has also enjoyed an impressive World Cup campaign with the Three Lions as they reached the last four.
Amongst his standout performances, Spence was handed an 8/10 rating by talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham for his display in the semi-final loss to Argentina.
The defender has featured in all seven of the Three Lions’ matches in North America, including making three starts.
He earned his place in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the tournament despite only making his senior international debut in September.
Spence has since accumulated 13 caps ahead of Saturday’s third-place play-off clash with France.
Spence interest
There is already interest in Spence, though, with Inter Milan eyeing a move.
The Serie A champions are said to have been in talks with Spurs regarding the 25-year-old.
It comes after he made 30 Premier League appearances for the club last season.
Spurs narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the season following De Zerbi’s arrival in March.
A win over Everton saw them finish two points clear of the drop zone at West Ham United’s expense.
Spurs spending spree
The North London outfit have already spent over £200million ahead of the new season as well as breaking their transfer record twice.
Sandro Tonali’s £100million arrival from Newcastle United usurped the £85million paid to West Ham for Mateus Fernandes earlier in the window.
Defender Jan Paul van Hecke has also joined the club from De Zerbi’s former side Brighton & Hove Albion.
Meanwhile, free transfers have been completed for Marcos Senesi, Andrew Robertson and Martin Dubravka.
Spence would not be the first notable departure of the summer, though, after Luka Vuskovic was sold to Brighton this week.
Radu Dragusin has also departed on loan to Fiorentina, whilst Yves Bissouma was released at the end of his contract.
