Manchester United continue exploring the market as Michael Carrick looks to further strengthen his attacking options before the new campaign gets underway.
While several names have already been linked with a move to Old Trafford, the club are still assessing players capable of adding pace and goals across the frontline.
The Reds have already completed deals for Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow this summer, but reports suggest their transfer business is far from finished.
A number of wide attackers remain under consideration as Carrick looks to build greater competition in the final third.
One player whose name has repeatedly surfaced in recent days is Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr.
Now, the Senegal international has personally addressed the growing speculation surrounding a potential move to Manchester United.
United have already made enquiries over Ismaila Sarr after identifying him as a player capable of strengthening either flank.
His ability to operate on both the left and right has made him an attractive option as Carrick searches for more depth in attack.
Hours before those reports emerged, Sarr was back in Senegal, where he organised a series of community initiatives.
The Crystal Palace winger arranged socio-educational and sporting activities, including a donation drive, a concert for supporters and a charity match at the Mawade Wade Stadium.
Ismaila Sarr breaks silence on Manchester United links
During the event, APS asked the Palace forward directly about the rumours linking him with Manchester United, a club that has long been described as his dream destination.
Rather than fuelling speculation, Sarr remained calm with his response.
“I have a three-year contract with Crystal Palace; it’s up to them to decide. Football is my profession, and I enjoy playing it.”
The 27-year-old heads into the new season after an outstanding campaign for Crystal Palace, registering 21 goals and two assists in 45 appearances while playing a pivotal role in the Eagles’ UEFA Conference League triumph.
His stock also rose significantly at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he delivered an outstanding tournament for Senegal with 4 goals and 2 assists in just 4 matches, further catching the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.
United’s interest is hardly surprising given those numbers, especially as Carrick looks to inject more firepower into his squad following an active summer in the transfer market.
Whether Palace are willing to entertain offers remains another matter entirely, particularly with Sarr still under contract for another three years.
