The Valencia academy graduate can play anywhere across the front line, so would be a useful option for Iraola, although he may want to cement his place as Barcelona’s first-choice centre forward following Robert Lewandowski‘s departure to Chicago Fire at the end of last season.
Liverpool have already signed one member of Spain’s World Cup-winning squad this summer, with winger Victor Munoz joining from Osasuna for ÂŁ34.5m.
