Man Utd have no cohesion – Ben Foster predicts Amorim’s sack, picks Glasner as successor

Ben Foster discussing Ruben Amorim’s future at Manchester United

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has claimed that manager Ruben Amorim could be sacked soon if poor results continue at Old Trafford.

Foster believes Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner would be the perfect candidate to replace Amorim should the club decide to make a managerial change.

Speaking on his Fozcast Podcast, the 42-year-old said Amorim may only have a few months left in charge, warning that another run of defeats could end his tenure.

“I think he has got a couple of months left, probably. He will go through a bad little run of two, three or four games in a row where he loses, and eventually they will go, ‘Right, we’ve had enough now, it’s obviously not working.’ I just watched them, and I don’t really see any kind of cohesion,” Foster explained.

He added that Glasner, who has just nine months remaining on his contract with Crystal Palace, would be a strong option for United.

Amorim has overseen 48 matches as Manchester United manager, recording 19 wins and 20 losses. Despite beating Chelsea last week, his team currently sits 11th in the Premier League table.
