Atletico Madrid have lodged an official complaint with UEFA after facing unexpected problems during their training session at the Emirates Stadium ahead of their Champions League clash with Arsenal.
Diego Simeone’s team trained at the North London ground on Monday evening but were reportedly left frustrated by the lack of hot water facilities available at the stadium.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Atletico officials were both surprised and angered by the situation and immediately notified UEFA to acknowledge what they described as an “anomalous” condition.
The issue was first reported to Arsenal staff before the Spanish side’s session began at 6:45 pm, but the problem had not been resolved by the time training concluded.
The complaint adds a touch of tension to what is already a high-stakes Champions League group encounter, with both sides looking to secure qualification from a competitive group.
