Real Madrid Eye Shock Move for Man United Star Diogo Dalot

Real Madrid are reportedly considering signing Diogo Dalot from Manchester United before the end of the January transfer window. The Portuguese right-back has been a regular starter at Old Trafford, making over 230 appearances since 2018 and returning to his natural right-back position under Michael Carrick.

Despite being a key player for United, Dalot could be tempted to move to Spain due to Real Madrid’s concerns over the fitness of Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Spanish club reportedly wants a reliable right-back to strengthen their chances in La Liga and the Champions League under Alvaro Arbeloa.

Dalot, 26, has an estimated market value of £24m, though United may demand more given it’s mid-season. This season, he has made 21 Premier League appearances, scoring once and providing two assists.

If Dalot departs, Manchester United may accelerate their pursuit of a new full-back. Reports suggest United are interested in Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt, a versatile 22-year-old capable of playing on either side. Brown has made 60 appearances for Frankfurt since January 2024, scoring four goals and providing 13 assists, and has also broken into the Germany national team this season.

A Dalot exit could push United to act sooner rather than waiting for their planned summer transfer window, ensuring they maintain strength and depth at the full-back position for the remainder of the season.
