Amorim to Tweak Man United Formation Against Bournemouth

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is expected to make a tactical adjustment when his side face Bournemouth in Monday night’s Premier League clash.

According to reports from The Athletic, the Portuguese coach is set to move away from his much-criticised 3-4-3 formation. The decision is influenced by the impending absence of key players Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui, who are all set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Their unavailability could see United revert to a more traditional back-four system, a shift Amorim has reportedly been considering for some time.

Since arriving at Old Trafford, the 40-year-old has largely remained loyal to his tactical philosophy, which previously brought him success at Sporting. However, his tenure at United has been challenging, with just 23 wins recorded across 58 matches, alongside failure to secure major silverware or European qualification last season.

Despite mounting criticism, Amorim has now hinted at change, informing his players ahead of the upcoming fixture that a tactical adjustment is on the way.

Ruben Amorim is expected to abandon his 3-4-3 system as Manchester United prepare for their Premier League encounter with Bournemouth amid AFCON absences.
