Bayern Munich Eye Marc Guehi for a 2026 Free Transfer

Marc Guehi linked with Bayern Munich free transfer in 2026

Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany. The Bundesliga champions are said to be exploring the possibility of signing the England international on a free transfer in 2026.

Plettenberg reports that Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl is a strong admirer of Guehi, and early discussions with the player’s representatives have already taken place.

The club’s interest in Guehi will likely depend on what happens with current defenders Dayot Upamecano and Min-jae Kim over the next two seasons.

Fierce Competition for Guehi’s Signature

Bayern are not the only European giant monitoring Guehi’s situation. Liverpool and Barcelona are both seriously interested in the 24-year-old, while Real Madrid have also entered the race.

The England international has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most reliable young defenders at Crystal Palace, attracting significant attention due to his consistent performances and leadership qualities.

If Bayern succeed, Guehi could become a key part of their defensive rebuild, potentially joining the club at the end of his current contract in 2026.
