Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark WNBA injury has forced her to miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season. Clark, 23, announced the news on social media Thursday, expressing disappointment but gratitude for fan support.

Clark played in just 13 games for the Fever (21-20), who are contending for one of the final three playoff spots. She averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5 rebounds per game, leading the league in assists before her injury.

“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season,” Clark wrote. “I spent hours in the gym every day aiming to get back out there. Disappointed isn’t enough to describe how I feel.”

Clark also dealt with previous injuries this season, including left groin and left quad problems. She suffered the right groin injury during the Fever’s 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun. In August, she also had a bone bruise in her left ankle.

Despite setbacks, Clark thanked fans and teammates:

“Even in the bad, there is good. The way fans supported me and the Fever brought me joy. I’m proud of how our team grew stronger through adversity.”

Clark, who was WNBA Rookie of the Year last season, averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. She also earned All-WNBA First Team honors and finished fourth in MVP voting while playing in all 40 games.

She joins four other Fever players ruled out for the season: Sophie Cunningham (knee), Sydney Colson (knee), Aari McDonald (foot), and Chloe Bibby (knee).

The Fever are determined to finish strong despite Caitlin Clark WNBA injury affecting their roster and playoff push.
