Two Chelsea Players Stranded at Stamford Bridge

Two Chelsea players face uncertain futures after failing to secure moves away from Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day.

Raheem Sterling Remains at Chelsea

Raheem Sterling, previously part of Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s “bomb squad”, is now likely to remain at Stamford Bridge until at least January. The England international returned to Chelsea after rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia and completing his loan spell at Arsenal last season. He failed to secure transfers to Fulham or Crystal Palace this summer.

Axel Disasi Fails to Find Permanent Move

Axel Disasi, who spent part of last season on loan at Aston Villa, also failed to secure a permanent transfer. Both Sterling and Disasi are expected to continue training away from Maresca’s first-team squad ahead of the January transfer window.

Tyrique George Also Misses Out on Transfer

Young talent Tyrique George failed to complete a move to Fulham on deadline day. Unlike Sterling and Disasi, George is part of Maresca’s first-team squad and recently featured in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Fulham.

Other Chelsea Transfers

Chelsea successfully offloaded Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich and Ben Chilwell to Strasbourg on transfer deadline day, strengthening the squad and balancing their books.
