FIFA has confirmed that the FIFA World Cup 2026 presale will open next week. Fans will finally get their first opportunity to buy tickets for the tournament, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The event is expected to become the biggest World Cup in history, with more than 80 matches scheduled across 16 host cities.
Dynamic Pricing in Place
For the first time, FIFA will use dynamic pricing for ticket sales. Prices will change depending on demand.
Tickets for group stage matches will start at $60. Meanwhile, seats for the later stages, including the final, may cost up to $6,730.
Falk Eller, FIFA’s Director of Ticketing and Hospitality, revealed that around 1 million tickets will be released in this first presale draw.
Visa Presale Draw Details
The Visa presale will begin on September 10, 2025, at 11:00 ET (15:00 CET). It will remain open until September 19, 2025.
Only Visa cardholders can take part in this early phase. Fans must log in to their FIFA accounts to enter the draw.
Winners will be selected randomly and assigned time slots to buy tickets. However, FIFA has warned that entry into the draw does not guarantee tickets.
Secure Resale Platform Coming
FIFA also plans to launch an official resale platform later this year. This platform will allow fans to resell their tickets safely.
Unlike in Mexico, where tickets must be resold at their original face value under PROFECO rules, prices in other regions will not be capped. FIFA says this will help fight against unofficial resale markets.
A Historic Tournament Ahead
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams instead of 32.
With expanded participation and multiple host countries, ticket demand is expected to reach record levels.
This presale is just the beginning of a historic football journey leading to North America in 2026.
