Harry Kane: I’m Settled at Bayern, Not Thinking About Tottenham Return

Harry Kane has insisted he is not considering a return to Tottenham and says he is “settled” at Bayern Munich.

The England captain joined Bayern from Spurs for an initial €100 million transfer two years ago and has a contract running until 2027. His deal includes a €65 million release clause that could be triggered next summer, though he would need to announce his intentions before the end of the January transfer window.

Tottenham also retain a buy-back option, and manager Thomas Frank has previously said he would welcome the chance to work with Kane again.

Kane said:

“I’m very happy here in Munich. It’s not something I’m thinking about. I spent my whole life at Spurs, and I’ll always be a fan, but for now, I’m loving it here. Everything off the pitch is settled, and I’m enjoying playing in a team that creates lots of chances.”

He also reflected on Spurs’ recent Europa League success:

“It was great to see. I have a lot of friends there with the players and staff. Everyone involved—fans, the club—deserved that feeling of success. Hopefully, they can continue to push on and win more.”

Kane has had a flying start to the season at Bayern, recently becoming the fastest player this century to score 100 goals in one of Europe’s top five leagues, achieving the milestone in just 104 games—surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland.

“It’s the best start to any season I’ve had,” Kane said. “Physically, I’m in a good place. Mentally, I’ve got loads of experience, and I’m excited to play in a team that creates so many chances. I know that if I get chances, I’m going to score.”

Kane’s focus remains on Bayern Munich and the upcoming World Cup, where he will lead England on the international stage.
