Kane Levy Spurs Exit. Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane says he was shocked by Daniel Levy’s decision to step down after nearly 25 years.
Kane, now playing for Bayern Munich, praised Levy’s impact on Tottenham. He described him as a chairman who transformed the club both on and off the pitch.
“I did not expect it, did not see that coming,” Kane said ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier in Serbia. “Daniel has been a fantastic chairman for Tottenham. Considering where the club was and where it is now, it has been a big change, not just on the pitch, but off the pitch as well.”
Kane Levy Spurs Exit Reaction
Levy’s time in charge did not deliver the long-awaited Premier League title. However, his achievements are clear. He oversaw the construction of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a modern training ground. He also celebrated a major success last season when Spurs lifted the Europa League, their first trophy since 2008.
The Kane Levy Spurs Exit story has also sparked speculation about ownership changes. Even so, the club has dismissed rumours of a sale. Officials confirmed the majority shareholder is not planning to move on.
Spurs Look Ahead After Levy
Tottenham chief executive Vinai Venkatesham called Levy’s contribution extraordinary. He stressed that the club remains stable despite the chairman’s departure.
“The club is well organised for succession. Although it might feel like big news externally, inside the club it is business as usual,” Venkatesham said.
Kane, who left Spurs for Bayern Munich in 2023, believes this moment marks a turning point for Tottenham.
“Overall for Tottenham, it is a new chapter they are trying to create now,” Kane added.
