Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has praised Malo Gusto and Reece James following the Blues’ 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton on Saturday.
Chelsea secured the win at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto, as Maresca’s side continued their push near the top of the table.
Speaking after the match, the Italian tactician highlighted the versatility of both players, insisting they are capable of operating in multiple positions on the pitch.
“They are good players and when they are good players, they can play in every position,” Maresca told the BBC. “They can play as full-backs and also in midfield.
“Malo took his chance and his assist for Cole was important, so I am very happy for Malo.”
The win sees Chelsea move up to fourth place on the Premier League table.
Maresca’s side will turn their attention to the EFL Cup when they face Cardiff City in their next fixture on Tuesday.
