The Senegal international joined the Bundesliga champions on a season-long loan from Chelsea after falling down the pecking order under manager Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.

Jackson’s loan deal nearly collapsed on transfer deadline day following an injury to Liam Delap, but Bayern Munich finalized a new agreement with Chelsea to secure his signature.

Jackson Reflects on Chelsea Departure

Speaking to TuttoSport about his move, Jackson expressed gratitude rather than regret.

“[There were] very strong emotions, but not for the reasons you might think,” Jackson said (via Mirror).
“I was simply very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world, to discover another league and other great players.

“At the same time, I was a little sad to leave Chelsea, my teammates, and the fans.

“Football is full of cycles. I respect Maresca, I learned a lot from him, he has his own ideas and style.

“I have no regrets, just gratitude for my time at Chelsea.”

Looking Ahead at Bayern Munich

Jackson now focuses on making an impact at Bayern Munich, embracing the new league and environment while continuing to develop as a player. His move underscores how top talents often seek opportunities to grow, even if it means leaving a prestigious club.
