Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is doubtful for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa following an injury sustained in the South African Premier Soccer League.
Nwabali was stretchered off in the 35th minute during Chippa United’s clash with Richards Bay on Tuesday night. The 29-year-old now faces a race against time to be fit for Nigeria’s crucial games against the Amavubi and Bafana Bafana.
He was recently named in Nigeria’s 31-man provisional squad, which also includes goalkeepers Adebayo Adeleye, Amas Obasogie, and Ebenezer Harcourt.
