Ronaldo and Felix Shine as Portugal Crush Armenia 5-0

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates after scoring Portugal’s second goal against Armenia in the World Cup qualifier

Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Felix both scored twice as Portugal cruised to a 5-0 victory over Armenia in Yerevan on Saturday, keeping their perfect start to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Joao Felix opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a header from a precise Joao Cancelo cross. Ronaldo doubled the lead just 11 minutes later, tapping in his 139th international goal. Cancelo made it 3-0 after 32 minutes, finishing from a Felix cut-back.

After the break, Ronaldo produced the highlight of the match — a thunderous long-range volley that Armenia goalkeeper Henri Avagyan could not keep out despite getting a touch.

Portugal sealed the rout in the 61st minute when Felix flicked in a clever back-heel to register his second of the night. Although the visitors pushed for a sixth, Avagyan denied them with two late saves.

The result leaves Jose Martinez’s side top of Group F with maximum points, as they continue their push toward World Cup qualification.
