A Premier League supercomputer model has predicted a strong finish to the season for Manchester United and Chelsea, with both clubs expected to secure Champions League qualification following recent managerial changes.
According to the latest projections, Arsenal are set to win the title with 86 points, pulling clear at the top during the run-in. Manchester City are forecast to finish second, narrowly holding off Aston Villa in the race for third place.
The most dramatic movement is expected in the battle for Europe. Chelsea and Manchester United are tipped to finish fourth and fifth respectively, positions likely to be enough for Champions League qualification once again.
United, now under Michael Carrick, are predicted to collect 23 points from their remaining 16 matches, including seven wins. Chelsea are forecast to do even better under Liam Rosenior, with the Blues projected to win eight games and draw three, collecting 27 points before the season concludes.
The model suggests Newcastle and Liverpool will miss out, with Liverpool falling short despite being well placed at the midway point of the campaign. A congested table means fine margins will decide European places, with only a few points separating fifth from mid-table.
Further down the standings, Tottenham are predicted to endure a difficult end to the season, slipping into the lower half after collecting just 18 points from their final fixtures. While relegation is avoided, the finish would represent another disappointing campaign.
At the bottom, the relegation picture remains bleak for West Ham, who are forecast to fail in their survival push. Wolves are also tipped to finish bottom despite an improvement in results, while Nottingham Forest are expected to pull clear with a strong second half of the season.
With the table projected to remain tightly packed until the final weeks, the model points to a dramatic conclusion — particularly in the race for Europe, where new managers could prove decisive.
